Cast Aluminum Inspection Hatches

Designed for long-term exposure to harsh conditions, these hatches feature locking T-handles, a non-skid low-profile surface, and removable lids for efficient access to fuel systems, wiring, and critical components. The Commercial Series is available in multiple shapes and sizes—rectangle, round, and oval—to fit your exact spec.
This series is also Lloyd’s certified, making it ideal for professional builds requiring compliance, reliability, and a long service life. Optional powder coating and bolt-down versions are available by request.

Manufactured from lightweight yet extremely durable Almag-35 cast aluminum, these hatches are trusted across commercial fleets, military vessels, fire boats, and other mission-critical platforms.

Key Materials
- Bomar uses 535 magnesium hardened aluminum to construct our Commercial Grade Series inspection hatches. The raw almag-35 is heated to 1100 degrees F at the Bomar foundry and is then melted and poured into our proprietary cast molds.
- The Commercial Grade Series inspection hatches are professionally assembled in-house with 316L, marine grade, stainless steel T-handle & fasteners. Stainless steel is ideal for harsh marine environments due to it’s rust & corrosion resistance, strength and luster.
